Making Scents of Wine: Wine & Fragrance Pairing

Led by Certified Sommelier and fragrance expert Mary Orlin, the two-hour long sensory experience starts with an overview of the history of wine and perfume. From explaining the similarities between wine evolving in the glass and perfume evolving on the skin, Orlin reveals that wine and perfume not only share a common language, but also similar olfactory experiences.

Mary will guide guests through a tasting of Domaine Carneros sparkling and still wines paired with fragrant essences curated by master perfumer Sarah Horowitz, each perfume carefully selected to highlight a different aromatic note in the particular wine.

After the class, you will relax with fellow guests as you enjoy artisanal cheeses and charcuterie paired with your favorite wines from the day. A take-away perfume gift completes the exceptional experience.
