Boasting an elegantly uncontrived style its owners have aptly dubbed “Wine Country Garden,” Healdsburg’s Dragonfly Floral may just deliver the best blooms in vine land. Using foliage and flowers grown in their own organic/sustainable gardens in nearby Dry Creek Valley, Dragonfly’s proprietors supply stylish bespoke arrangements for everyone from individuals to wineries to full-scale wedding parties – with the latter lauded by the likes of Modern Bride, Martha Stewart Weddings and must-have wedding planning guide, The Knot.
Secret Garden
By appointment, clients are invited to visit Dragonfly Farm to select stems for their arrangements, which are then picked and arranged to each client’s specifications. For those seriously bloom bent, Dragonfly offers custom arrangement classes at the company’s six-acre farm, which encompasses more than 2,000 varieties of roses and a host of other eclectic flora and fauna including ducks, birds, butterflies and – yes, even cats. Visitors are invited to linger as long as they like at the spot’s on-site picnic tables, and can even partake of fresh-from-the-farm bounty when the season permits. In all, the Farm affords a delightfully off-the-beaten-path excursion for wine country visitors, with plenty of fringe benefits in bloom.

PS: In their off hours, Dragonfly’s owners host a non-profit called the Compost Club that teaches kids about the benefits of recycling and composting. Kudos!
