Prospero, a man exiled to a deserted island with his 3-year old daughter, realizes that after 12 years the stars have aligned to give him the opportunity for rescue. He has only a few hours, and with the help of magic sprites and control of the elements he might succeed. If he’s successful, his daughter, Miranda, now a young woman, will have the chance to marry and return to a civilized society, but the cost is great: Prospero must give up magic and his experience of power.
