Tours - By Appointment Only
Welcome
Don’t miss visiting one of the oldest wineries in the Napa Valley during your wine country adventure - Markham Vineyards! Stop by any time 10am-5pm without an appointment to taste our wines and see our historic stone cellar, the very heart of our present-day winery, which was built in 1879 by Bordeaux immigrant, Jean Laurent. The rough-hewn stone from Glass Mountain has stood the test of time. After the winery was purchased by Bruce Markham, a new, modern winemaking facility, art gallery, and visitor center were all constructed around it.Today, visitors enjoy tasting our single-estate and winery-only wines while viewing the latest exhibits in our art gallery. We usually have at least one area dedicated to the amazing rock ‘n’ roll photographs produced by Rolling Stone Magazine’s legendary first chief photographer, Baron Wolman. Tours with tastings are also available by advance appointment, so you can get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Napa Valley's oldest continuously working wineries. We love celebrating special occasions with up to 250 guests by pairing our award-winning wines with culinary treats from the valley's most celebrated chefs. Our winery can accommodate small, intimate luncheons, brunches, and wine & food pairings, or large rehearsal dinners and corporate events. Want a sneak peek of the winery before your visit?
Check your local listings to see us in the public television series Vintage: Napa Valley 2012. The show follows our winemaker and cellar crew in the vineyard and at the winery so you can really see what goes into making your favorite bottle of wine. It’s the palate, tasting skills and experience of our winemaker, Kimberlee Nicholls, who has been with us for more than 20 years now, that ensures Markham's consistency and true-to-type varietal expression are evident vintage after vintage.
