Back Room Wines & Tasting Bar

Every day, our Wine Bar offers a daily tasting of local "Wines Off The Grid" made by wineries without tasting rooms. We offer wines by the glass, cheese plates and bottle service (no corkage) every day. Our Thursday and Friday night tasting events are popular, fun and educational.

Daniel Dawson opened Back Room Wines in the summer of 2002. In 2008, Daniel moved Back Room Wines from its original location to its current one, on the corner of First & Main Streets in the heart of Downtown Napa. In seven years of successful business, the mission of Back Room Wines has never wavered: Recommend and sell the best small production wines of the world with great customer service to back it up. Rare, hard-to-get, cult, limited-production: however you choose to say it-that’s our specialty.

Our inventory goes way beyond California let alone Napa Valley. We have a strong selection of European wines, especially France (and especially Southern France) and dabble in fine wines from the Southern Hemisphere.
