While the shrimp and catfish are professionally cooked, they are served by Rotarians who also bus the room, deliver drinks, tend to customer comfort and manage the events such as the silent auction, 50/50 drawing and raffles. Co-Chairmen of the event, Marcia Cutter, Alicia Gutshall and Cheri Wright expect to serve over 400 community residents and guests during the afternoon.
The dinner is the major fund raising event of the year for the Rotary Club. Money raised will go to the Edinburg Little League, the annual Rotary Christmas baskets and Coats for Kids projects and support other community service including dictionaries to elementary school students and a Woodstock Park project.
The shrimp & catfish meal includes hush puppies and other trimmings, beverage and dessert. Kids have the option of chicken nuggets. Adult beverages will be available.
