Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council will host a Chalk and Arts Festival where artists of all ages and ability will have the opportunity to display their talents with chalk designs on the streets of downtown Pleasanton. Kids and Family “Chalk the Walk”; street squares available to the public for $20, includes box of chalk; community chalk mural section; special events, live performances, and kid friendly activities, including face painting and henna.
The Big Draw is the culmination of a week of various arts-related events that include uniquely painted pianos along Main Street for people to play the week of May 3, chalk artists drawing for the public on May 10, with festivities including live performances, The Big Draw Art Contest, Arts & Crafts Sales, Artful Bouquets and more.
Special Events: Painted Pianos; Take A Seat Poetry Chairs – local artists to create literary works of art, with a short poem painted onto a chair; Artful Bouquets at the Harrington Art Gallery – Talented floral artists to create a floral work of art complementing a work on display at The Harrington Art Gallery and so much more!
