Belgian violinist and conductor Michael Guttman and Symphony Napa Valley will appear at 3 pm on May 25 in a diverse classical and eclectically romantic musical concert entitled ‘Art of the Violin.’
Guttman, hailed by the Jerusalem Post as ‘the Chagall of violinists,’ will conduct and perform as violin soloist with Symphony Napa Valley, playing selections by romanticist Felix Mendelssohn, including the Capriccio from Op 80 for string quartet and the Violin concerto in D Minor, plus music by Mozart and Vieuxtemps, along with composers active at the turn of the 19th-20th century: Eugene Ysaye and Manuel Ponce.
