The 4th Annual Terry Patters Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Aug. 4, and invites the public to Poppy Ridge Golf Course for 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner.

Organized as a four-man scramble, the $160 registration fee includes greens fees, cart, a box lunch, buffet dinner, awards ceremony, raffle and live auction. Donations and hole sponsorships are also being accepted, interested parties can visit the event’s website to buy tickets or make a donation.

The tournament is being held in memory of Terry Patters – wife, mother, grandmother and friend – who was diagnosed with melanoma in January 2010 and passed away just eight months later in August 2010. Friends and family have organized this annual event in her honor to celebrate her love of golf and fun with friends, while sharing her story, raising awareness and funds to fight melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer.
