This exhibit sheds light on the fascinating yet little-known history of Napa’s world-renowned industrial complex. Exhibit will on Tuesday, May 6th, and will remain open through the month of June, Tuesday-Saturday, 12-4pm in the Goodman Library.

For more than 100 years, Napa City was a hub of industry. We manufactured boots, boxes, Basalite concrete, and everything in between. Perhaps the biggest was the Basalt, Kaiser Steel, Napa Pipe, and Trans Bay industrial complex south of town. For eighty years, the property produced some of the finest quality concrete, rip rap, barges, oil platforms, and pipe products in the world.
